The
average person needs seven to nine hours of sleep per night. And
yet more than 50 percent of us get less than seven hours. Is stress,
pain, poor habits, or just too much to do keeping you up at night?
Consistent
good sleep is essential to your health. While youre asleep
important activities are happening that result in improved tissue
healing, reduced pain sensitivity, appetite regulation, mental
clarity, and emotional stability to name just a few. But sleeping
well is easier said than done. Healthy sleep just like healthy
exercise takes practice before you manage to do it right.
Isnt
it time you figured out how to get the rest you need? Learn simple
sleep and relaxation techniques that you can start using today
to help restore your natural, peaceful sleep patterns.

All
methods devoted to human potential emphasize
the importance of awakening to the present
moment. All that we long for: love, joy,
peace, harmony, truth - require the fundamental
capacity for PRESENCE.
This
seminar uses ancient and modern methods
for directly and simply uncovering our natural
capacity for being awake physically, mentally,
emotionally, in our everyday life.
Embodiment:
Moshe Feldenkrais developed a sophisticated
neurological approach to learning, using
gentle movements to change patterns in the
brain. Movement lessons facilitate a sense
of wholeness whereby one is aware of thoughts,
feelings, sensations and movements and there
is harmony of mind/body/spirit.
Meditation:
Based in classic Zen approach, just sitting,
we attend all moments with curiosity and
kindness. Experienced meditators and novices
welcome.
Guided
Inquiry: Through various awareness practices,
learn to identify unhelpful mind/body habits,
uncovering the somatic basis for becoming
unbound from the past.
The
Embodied Life: The intention to live
these qualities, expressed through presence,
awareness, authenticity and vitality.
Please
bring a blanket, mat, or pad to lie on for
the ATM movement lessons, alternately there
is the option to sit on a chair.
