Relaxation Day - August 15

Whoa,
slow down, take it easy, what's the hurry? August
15th is National Relaxation Day so take advantage of it!

Pause and follow your breath - every time you take a break:
in the shower, on the toilet, at the sink, in your car, at
the stop light, while driving. It's the easiest thing you
can do.

Enjoy the sunshine: Feel the warmth, smell the hot air, enjoy
the shadows and beautiful plants and flowers that grow because
of the light.

Taste your food. REALLY taste it. Set your spoon or fork down
in-between bites, chew, taste, and enjoy.

Turn off the news!

Listen to only pleasant noises: the music you like, no commercials,
the breeze in the air, children playing, people laughing.

Sit or rest outdoors: Either in the sunshine with plenty of
sunscreen (of course), or in the shade.

Just BE. Be still, Be quiet, Be still, Be smiling, Be breathing,
Be relaxation.

Don't look at your to-do list.

Take the time to call an old friend and reminisce.

If you absolutely insist on working, you can relax throughout
your day using steps 1-9 above.
