September 25th Bend Park & Recreation is excited to introduce Day of Play from 11am-3pm. It's a free event for all ages in River bend Park (799 SW Columbia Street). This new event packed full of fun, food, music, laughter and activities. Join a game, try a new sport, climb on a big truck, splash around and PLAY! In addition to playing at the day of play, take some time out in the days following September 25th to create play in your day! As adults we often get busy with all the responsibilities of family and work and LIFE that we forget to play. Here are some wonderful ways to create play in your life. Roll around on the floor with your child or your pet and giggle like you used to. Make homemade play dough and make funny animal shapes then bake them. Take a creative art class and create something fun. Go to the candy store and pick out a small bag of treats. Color in a coloring book Whatever you do make it a play day!
